NYS Standards of Practice and NYS Code of Ethics
NYS DOS has developed Standards of Practice and a Code of Ethics under Article 12-B Real Property Law. The Standards of practice is a minimum guideline for conducting a home inspection, and outlines the various components and procedures of a professional home inspection. The standards address the purpose, scope, and limitations of the inspection process. NYS DOS's Code of Ethics promotes ethical and responsible behavior among members.

National Referral Service
NAHI provides a National Referral Service to connect consumers with NAHI inspectors in their area and to help consumers find out important information about the home inspection industry.

NAHI Forum Newsletter
A newsletter written by home inspectors, for home inspectors. The NAHI Forum is published every two months and features relevant issues and subjects important to home inspectors. Professional home inspectors, experts in our industry, and our members write articles in the NAHI Forum. We encourage all members to make this your newsletter by sending or us ideas for articles.

Educational Seminars
NAHI provides educational opportunities for its members. National and Chapter meetings and seminars are conducted by industry professionals and give members an opportunity to learn more about the Home Inspection Industry.

Public Relations Support and Materials
NAHI provides Public Relations support and materials to promote your home inspection business. In addition, we work to publicize the home inspection industry to consumers and related professionals.

PaRR/FEMA Partnership
Interested in becoming a FEMA Disaster Housing Inspector? NAHI partners with PaRR Inspections to provide members with an opportunity to supplement their incomes while helping others in times of need. NAHI members will also receive 8 CEU's upon successful completion of the Basic Certification Course for Disaster Housing Inspectors. Logo Usage
All NAHI members are provided with the NAHI logo for their membership category and are allowed to use it immediately.

Immediate Voting Rights
NAHI is an Association of members. All members are given immediate voting rights. You, our member, elect the Board of Directors and make important decisions for the Association.

NAHI Discussion Board
The NAHI Discussion Board is an interactive forum for NAHI members. The Discussion Board is for fellowship, questions, information, and the promotion of the home inspection industry.
